Woke up this morning at 6am to catch the sunrise, and then drove down to the Everglades to walk around. Saw alligators, florida gar, blue herons, anhingas.
Got back, napped, did Kempo X.
Verdict: very fun.
Reminds me of my highschool years when I did shotokan karate. As such, was very frustrating to remember the right technique and not have my body be able to do it (tight hamstrings, poor balance, lack of leg strength). Still, very enjoyable, and the workout went by fast. I did it with Grace, and we both had a great time kicking and punching and blocking, and that last 100 vertical punch sequence was awesome, though I wouldn't have minded if we'd gone another 30 seconds all out. I was sweating bricks, and felt great!
Tomorrow is a break, and then Chest & Back on Monday. Week 1 is down, ladies and gentlemen, and we're still standing. Can't wait to kick week # 2's ass.

Kempo X was fun, although I have to admit that I am totally incapable of putting any force behind any of my kicks. Still sweat up like a mother today.
