Man, today sucked.
Started with Ab Ripper X. It was my best showing thus far, but I still spent a decent amount of time just cursing quietly and watching the TV. But still, got in a decent core workout.
The Chest & Back workout however, man. My first round was awful. I just had no stamina. Last time we did Legs & Back I busted out 8 chin ups in my first go, felt great. Today, I was struggling at 4. Same with my push ups. I just didn't have any oomph. Kept having to take breaks, kept having to walk around with my hands on my hips, gulping for air. It sucked. I stuck with it through, forced myself to do as many as I could, even though I felt I was only doing half of what I should have been doing.
The second round was better. I used a chair for the pull up variations, and was able to get to 10 or 12 on each. It hurt, but I made it happen. My push ups were better too. I don't know if the coffee had hit by then, but I just did as much or more than I did the first round. Maybe I was just fired up by that point.
When it was all over, I felt sick. Forced myself to shower, and then eat a large bowl of muesli, blueberries, and almond milk with a scoop of protein powder mixed in. Rough. Rough rough rough. Going to try and get as much food and sleep tonight so I can do better tomorrow.
But one thing I can say: no matter how weak I felt, I absolutely pushed myself as hard as I could.

Great job, I didn't have such a hard time, must have been because of my days off... But I did still feel nausea at the end of it. I'm hoping this week I'll stick to it. Climbing this week?
ReplyDeleteYeah. I can't do Tuesday because I have a real estate appointment at 8.15pm.
